Richard Petts Memorial Day/Kirklands Festival
Saturday 6th June saw the Kirklands Hotel host their annual memorial day for Richard Petts. A local man who was tragically killed in a motorbike accident.
He used to be a regular at the Kirklands so Dave and Donna the Managers of the pub got together with his brothers and family to put together a special day in his memory and to also raise funds for the very worthy Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Six live bands performed on the outside stage all donating their time for free plus a little set from Matt Hodge who was part of Richard\'s favourite band and they were all brilliant.
There was also a food truck, bouncy castle, bucking bronco and face painting.
At 9.00pm the Karoke disco started with a live performance from a Freddie Mercury impersonator which the crowd loved and everyone joined in.
There was a huge turnout from Ricahrd\'s family and friends, Kirklands regulars and even some new faces who the Kirklands hadn\'t seen before who turned up to support this special event.
A huge thank you to everyone involved including those who donated their time or services for free, a whopping £674.59 was raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance so keep an eye out for photo\'s from when we hand over the cheque!
